The Community Services Department of Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church is a holistic ministry committed to demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ through meaningful service. It serves as a vital bridge between the church and the community, meeting people where they are and addressing their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs with dignity and care.
We believe that true ministry extends beyond the walls of the church, and as such, we are dedicated to fostering connection, hope, and healing in our surrounding neighborhoods. Through acts of kindness and organized outreach, our department works to uplift individuals and families in times of need.
Our key initiatives include:

Organizing community events and gatherings that promote fellowship, education, and empowerment.

Operating food banks to combat hunger and food insecurity.

Assisting individuals in accessing social services, including welfare support, housing assistance, and employment resources.

Providing referrals and support for medical care, mental health services, and counseling.

Offering spiritual support through prayer, Bible studies, and compassionate listening, bringing comfort and encouragement to those who seek it.
Our mission is grounded in the example of Christ, who ministered to both the body and the soul. Inspired by Isaiah 58:10, which says,
“If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness…”
